does HKS Hi Power hang low?

I have been researching exhausts for 2 weeks now checking threads and I really like the way the HKS sounds, however on alot of pics I see that the exhaust does not sit up flush with the bumper and looks like it hangs to low.

I also saw other pics that the exhaust looked fairly snug

So I am confused.

Here are my requirments.

I want a 3 inch exhaust that is fairly liveable in the sound department for daily driving, has a n-1 style canister, exits out angled, is stainless (not titanium) and most importantly is flush up to the bumper like the helix

I really love the fit and finish of the Helix exhaust and how it angles out JDM style, however its to loud for my taste.

Is there any other exhaust on the market that will meet my criteria?

I really love the sound of the Espelir but it does not angle out enough for me.

Does anybody have better pics of the HI Power further away from the car so I can see how it is in relation to the bumper or for that matter any exhausts that exit out the rear JDM style?

Thanks!

I have the RNR system and it looks like this. Not too loud, not too quiet, and a great deal.

once the exhaust is installed you can bend the hangers to make it fit flush or hang low.

chapter8, these pics might not be exactly what you are looking for but it is the best i have right now. I will definitely take some more pictures tomorow and hopefully post them sometime tomorow afternoon. Hope this helps. BTW, the HKS is an awesome exhaust as far as the sound and quality and I am very happy with it.

Hmm, I didn't hear JIC yet. IMO, the JIC exhaust looks and sounds a lot like the HKS SS 30th Aniv.

It appears to hang a little low, but I have yet to bang it on any speed bumps, curbs, potholes, etc. The roads out by my house are nowhere near perfect either.

I just went downstairs to look at my exhaust, and it is not quite flush with the bumper. It sticks out a tiny bit. But other than that, it meets the rest of your criteria. It is a 2 piece slip fit though, so maybe I just need to slide it back a little bit.

I have seen a couple different hks exhaust's on evo's and they all looked and sound great. That's why I'm getting the 30th on tomorrow. It does have the angle on it which I prefer but some don't.

You will love the HKS 30th. It's a quality piece of work and fits perfect like OEM designed.

EVOlmike does your RNR exhausr run the magnaflow or is that with the HKS Ti muffler?....that looks very nice

hmmm...is this fairly easy to do?

eclipsegs2k1, wow thanks for the pics.

If you have any pics that are taken at the angle of naucrx's blue evo....that would be perfect, thanks in advance!

I like the JIC but its not flush enough for me...is that the stainless one? I saw there ti one on a car and it was very nice!

sorry for all the questions here but the guys running the Helix exhausts, are they fairly loud? I was viewing the norcal video clip
http://www.norcalevo.net/forums/mod...=view_album.php and was basing my sounds of the exhausts on that.....however I just realized the video of the Helix exhaust that recorded 101db had a test pipe and downpipe. So that will make it significantly louder.
Any input on what just a helix catback sounds like with stock dp and cat would be greatly appreciated

Yes, the JIC is full stainless steel. It is almost identical to the HKS 30th Aniv. exhaust, which is what I was going to get. I didn't want to wait to get the HKS shipped though, so I picked up the JIC from Vividracing and installed it the same day.

Megan Racing is also similar. It exits at a little of an angle. It also has a Ti tip. I've had several people ask me if it was an HKS Ti catback.
