why are you suggesting injectors when his current afr is super rich? 10.0 afr between 4-5k

when i run/ran 91oct, i target 10.8/11.0.... this was stock block/turbo, etc on hks 264's.

am i reading the afr graph wrong or something?

what i see, is your making plenty of boost & not much power. so something is holding you back.... seeing that you have no cams listed in your sig, i suggest either getting gsc s1's..... otherwise kelford 272's.....

I felt the gsc s1's behaved in the city like oem cams, yet making plenty of power.

Seems low on power, even considering your shortcomings in fuel and supporting mods.

. Ignore the AFRMAP as i cant log WBO2 for some reason, 11.8 AFR off the gauge from 3500 up. IDC was 77.8% at 6000. 2 lines of 2 KS at 4500 in the log. Curve looks very similar to one posted by TSComptuned for a car he tuned in Arizona

right there 😁

Ok so i am going to get some injectors. FIC 850's support up to 400 whp according to the calculators online at RC and FIC.

I would be getting the plug and play versions.

Does anyone have these on their 71HTA and if so can they please share the scaling and latencies with me. Let me know about the driveability and tuning as well on them, please

I'm on 96530706 ROM BTW. With Walbro 255 on stock injectors, it is running 27 psi tapering to 21, with 13.0-12.5 spoolup rest right at 11.8 AFR. I'm running out of fuel and having to pull timing and boost above 5000 as a result ( both power killers ).

BTW that 71HTA with 84 mm compressor housing sounds awesome. SICK like jet engine sounds.....

From the FP 71HTA thread. Alexc had his car tuned with 1250 CC injectors and 3 inch exhaust ===>

SNIP from thread ==>Got my set up tuned the other day didn't make as much as I thought I would. Still waiting on my tuner to email me the logs. Having some idle issues now though that I'm sorting out.

Fairly Conservative tune. Virtual dyno showed 330 awhp and 315 wtq at 27 psi

93 Oct
MAF
77 Degrees

Stock block/head - HTA 71 / 84mm cover - Forge MBC - Crushed Evo 9 DV - FIC 1250cc - Muse 02 dump - 3inch exhaust/test pipe - VRSF intercooler - ETS intake / stock route upper / lower pipes - K&N cone filter - ACT HD 6 Puck - Gruppe S flywheel - Innovate LC-2===<

I'm not that far off and with a VIII with 71HTA, no dump, stock intercooler, stock injectors and smaller exhaust ==== should ought to get to 320 whp after the 850 cc injectors I'm thinking

I wouldn't use my set up and virtual dyno as a baseline just yet, we can all agree with my mods there is something wrong which my set up as stock turbo stock intercooler Evo's can man 330 on pump. I'm currently doing a boost leak and chasing down a vacuum line under the intake manifold that isn't hooked up to something.

That'll hurt spool and make your turbo work extra hard, but if you are reaching target boost but low power, may have another problem.

I know. I'm hitting target boost just not sure if there is a leak. I also have idle issues and I found a EGR vacuum line blown off, put it back on and going to clamp it... waiting for parts to come in this week and going to delete the EGR.

Next is boost leak test after i replace the TB shaft seals that are also on the way.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I had to reconnect one of the vacuum lines that come off the intake manifold LOL
Eventually, I started zip tying them. That works pretty well until I need to take something apart
