Exedy Twin Disc Adjustment

I purchased my evo 9 with an Exedy Twin Disc in it. I heard they're supposed to rattle ad idle and when engaged however mine is silent. I was wondering what i can do to adjust it to its normal self. Thanks

How sure are you the car has an exedy twin? I would suggest you jack her up and look through the inspection hole, to see if there is an exedy twin is in there. If that checks out, then while she is still jacked up, put it in 1st gear and hold the clutch all the way, give it a few revs and see if the clutch is properly disengaging. If it is, then there is nothing to worry about it.

i bought the car off a friend and i know he put it in and i have the receipt for it. The clutch isn't engaging and disengaging properly thats also part of my problem. I was just wondering if theres a way to adjust the clutch to make it normal

The clutch should be quiet when engaged at idle. The only get noise when disengaged and the plates are bouncing around in the basket.

The engagement issue could mean it's worn out and needs new disks, or the plates are hanging up on the basket towers, and the basket towers need to be polished.

interesting. I hear different things from everyone and its hard to know what to do. As of right now im contemplating selling the car because after buying it for $23000 and putting $5000 into it its having the stupidest issues. Time to buy a less beat 9

I can tell you, for certain, that I have said is corrected. I've installed more than a few exedy twins and they're all the same.
