I contacted Gates about making their racing belt for Evo's running a 4g64 and they asked me to start a thread to see if there would be any interest in one. The belt would be based off of a'94 Galant GS timing belt. Any questions just let me know and I'll forward them to Gates also I'll forward this thread to the representative. Thank you.

I would love to Have a Performance timing belt for the 4g64 engine. these engines blow through timing belts like crazy and i have cept it all Stock i have had to rebuild my engine twice now because of the timing belts and the 4g64 engine is a Interference engine so i have to replace pretty much everything. I have been looking for a proformance timing belt for 3 years now

i always use the 4g63 belts with no issues on the 4g64. what is the issue?

yea... evo 9 belt on mine

In my case. I'm running a 64 block with the ER oil pump gear and this requires the 64 belt.
