1000cc injectors running like 650cc injectors

So my old tuner out of state sold and tuned me on DW 1000cc injectors but my new tuner in state says they're more like a 650cc injectors. How I this possible and who's doing me off? There's some bs going on somewhere... Ideas?

All might be OK. Im not the tuning expert, but really depends on your state of tune.

If youre running on 93 pump & running lower boost levels, its very possible those 1000's have been duty cycled down (meaning your supporting mods or state of tune can not support a full 1000cc injector (this is very common)

Awesome thanks, 'cuz my new tuner is trying to sell me his favorite brand of 1000cc. my mods list includes 1000CC (supposedly) dw injectors, walbro pump, gsc 280 cams, gsc valvesprings/retainers, ets intake, invidia turbo back exhaust with cat delete, stage 3 clutch, oil catch can and stoptech rotors and pads (not really relevant but w.e.) i mean in theory i think 1000cc would be appropriate? But i'm no expert.

Need to check the fuel pressure.
If it's OK then flow test the injectors.

If youre running 93 & on the stock turbo, 1000cc inj is plenty. Heck, I have a EvO9 (stock turbo) & Im on E85 & run a 1000cc inj

There's got to be a shop in the Dallas are you can have the fuel pressure checked and injectors flow tested.

Or simply post a screen shot of your fuel map, injector scaling, and latencies along with a datalog in here or better yet a thread in the ECUFLASH subforum. One of the resident experts will be able to chime in I'm sure.

They are rated for 800 and up lol, I feel like youd be giving up some low end power. I stuck with S2

Flow testing can be done relatively quick. I got mine done in a day. Just pulled them and went to a near by shop for testing, came home and threw them back in.

How does your tuner tune if he's got no idea about fuel pressure?
Answer........the same as all the other wannabe tuners.

You can flow test your own injectors if you think about it for long enough.

I am a bit baffled that your new tuner is saying that these injectors are smaller than stated capacity..
it could be that he doesnt know what he is talking about and just wants to sell new injectors..

but lets say that he is right... one of the possible reasons might be that the installer did not remove the ballast resistors that are in the same circuit as are the injectors. Since you swapped low impedance injectors with high impedance injectors if he failed to do so your new injectors would not give adequate fueling...

take a look at the resistor pack and see if it is unplugges and there should be a small plug that just bypasses the resistor pack...

best take some pics.. it is next to the abs unit..
