it could be that he doesnt know what he is talking about and just wants to sell new injectors..

but lets say that he is right... one of the possible reasons might be that the installer did not remove the ballast resistors that are in the same circuit as are the injectors. Since you swapped low impedance injectors with high impedance injectors if he failed to do so your new injectors would not give adequate fueling...

take a look at the resistor pack and see if it is unplugges and there should be a small plug that just bypasses the resistor pack...
