4g63 head on 4g64 block

Hi All,

Probably been asked before but I couldn't find it....

How important is it to size match the combustion chamber of the 4G63 head when using it on a standard bore 4G64 block?

What is involved in doing so and how much effect will it have?

Cheers
Kelvin

Not needed. However, an oringed head is highly recommended. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...evo-8-9-a.html

not to high jack, but say if compression was raised. Would it then be necessary to open the combustion chamber on the head? Also even without comp change wouldn't them not matching up put an unnecessary stress on the gasket?

Thank
