Not totally abnormal- evo's are especially horrendous with fuel consumption. Mostly urban? Do you get into boost alot?

I didnt do the math but read that 6km per litre is approx 14.5 mpg. Depending on your driving habits that sounds OK based on your notes: (Cam, turbo etc)

If you really want to see bad mileage, convert to E85 (i must be at 9-10 mpg)

Hey, youve got an RS. Post up some pics in this thread, please

I'm averaging about 18mpg but have been as bad as 14-15mpg in the past.

What kind of fuel setup are you running? Also might be worthwhile to speak with your tuner.

I saved the window sticker from the evo when I bought it in 05. Gets almost identical MPG city/Highway to my brand new 5.3L V8 4x4 Truck.

Not sure if it means the truck is getting good MPG or the evo is getting bad MPG. Maybe both are bad lol

05 Evo:
19 combined
City MPG:17
Highway MPG:23
5.3 gals/100 miles

15 Silverado 4x4 with 5.3:
18 combined
City MPG:16
Highway MPG:22
5.6 gals/100 miles

A lot of my friends are about 8km/l on average. I tried not boosting but the consumption I get is the same. If I boost, it's worse. Haha

yes it's about 14mpg. To be frank I rarely boost. Only once in awhile. And my cams are small cams (270), FP red. A lot of friends mentioned that my fuel consumption is way too high.

This is my evo 9 rs. 😊

Who is your tuner, I am guessing its not rhommel, as his tunes always get good gas mileage.

no it's not Rhommel. It's someone by the name alex who is a freelance tuner.

Yeah somehow I suspected its alex. Give rhommel a call, IIRC his price for ECUflash is $600 with dyno tune.

Yeap, from SG too. I personally don't think alex is as capable. Rhom has tuned many evos over the years, most go to him without complains. Currently I am on rhom's tune as well, but I recently rebuilt my engine, and will be going for Furugawa at ST powered.

If you are on a budget, I would highly recommend rhom.
