Bell housing full of fiber!
Bell housing full of fiber!
First off, I don't own an Evo but my work (auto dismantler) just got an 05 in that was hit in the front. We were checking it out on the lift and took off the bottom cover for the bell housing and its full of gray fiber. There's some aftermarket stuff on the car so I was wondering if maybe it has a carbon fiber component in the clutch? Disc? Flywheel? It took a big hit and there's some bosses broken on the block where the transaxle bolts up and it also rubs inside the bellhousing somewhere.
Thoughts?
Thoughts?
clutch material falling apart? assuming it's a basic single disk clutch. There are some carbon clutches out there, but SUPER rare. I've never seen one being used LOL. But maybe?
