correct 4g64 block clarification

i just dropped my block off to the machine shop yesterday for boring and realized it might be wrong.

i have read around and cant find anyone saying how to ID the correct 4g64 block. in the swap info thread it just says 4g64 block, and some cars, but i dont know what mine came from but i know its stamped 4g64.

it looks like it has the correct bellhousing but is there 'old style' 4g64s that are the same as a dsm block, so they wont fit an evo?
i looked back at photos from my phone and can verify the intake and exhaust are backward on the sohc head but i cant find a pic of the deck surface, just the bellhousing.

any help is greatly appreciated, so i can call the machine shop before they start cutting.

You would need the code stamped right by the "4g64" to better tell u where it came from, there are also sohc and dohc 4g64 long blocks.

VIN number of the block would help.

I dont think its the right 4G64. The timing components are on the driver side when they should be on the passenger side. Last time I was searching for a 4g64 in the junkyard I used that info to find the blocks I wanted.
