so i started hearing weird noises from my gearbox and the gears was not going in . Removed the gearbox to inspect and found my flywheel bolts slack . Upon further inspecting , after removing the flywheel , i saw some arc marks on the flywheel and the mounting flange on the crank .
I am wondering if i should be worried and just have the flywheel face polished or should i replace flywheel and crankshaft ?

As long as you can bolt the flywheel in and it allows proper torque and it sits flush i dont see a crank replacement.

Ouch. I would just attempt to smooth out the rough areas and keep on trucking

Nope, crank is done. You can have it repaired (needs to be removed from the engine), oe pick up a new one.

Bolt it back together, torque it up.......measure runout with a dial gauge.

The spec is in the manual somewhere.

If it's within spec and there's no cracks or anything silly.....it's OK.
