Exclamation Best way to hit 400whp in evo 8

I want to know what I should do to be able to hit 400whp, i'm looking to use this as my daily and street car. it would be great if i could get a list of previous builds that hit this including internals. not trying to blow it sky high, thank you

I can only speak from my experience but i have reached 400hp on a stock block, BBK lite, RC1200 injectors, AEM 320 fuel pump, GSC s1, mil-spec 100 cell high-flow cat, RRE 3 port boost controller, Turbosmart Evo 9 internal waste-gate, RRE 3" cat-back, random 3" downpipe, and a buscher street FMIC. Granted all these parts combined with a solid tune on e-85 got me to 400. I'm fortunate to have an e-85 station near by allowing me to daily on it. The power levels you seek are attainable with a Evo 9 turbo. What do you have in your Evo? Rather than recommend parts it's best to know what you are working with.

The biggest deciding factor here is whether or not you have access to e85? If you do getting to 400whp is very straight forward and if not youre looking at upgrading your turbo at the very least.

Correct^. If you have E85 access, you can easily hit 400+hp on the stock turbo.

Not if its got a 9.8 hotside. Even with a 10.5 hotside on an evo 8 turbo 400whp is really pushing it.

I do an e85 station near me and a tuner that is willing to do it. I'm working with a completely stock 5 speed, nothing special but has potential

Make sure it's a good tuner. It's very easy to tune right past MBT on E85.

Simple as this:
- Cams (GSC S2s or any 272s and upgraded valve springs if you want 400whp)
- Turbo-Back Exhaust (Downpipe, Testpipe/ HFC, If you have the money ported o2 housing or dump)
- Intake
- 3.0"+ FMIC, LICP
- Fuel Pump (255 walbro or higher)
- 800cc+ injectors
- Evo 9 BOV or something other than the 8 BOV (since they are crap and leak)
- New Tune and E85
- Head Studs

I basically have all of these, but not E85 and I have GS1 cams
Im making 331awhp - With E85 and higher HP rated cams you'll be somewhere around 400whp.. (And depending on your budget, an evo 9 turbo or an HTA71 will boost you HP too
