Evo 9 No start after parked for 10 months

Parked my Evo in the garage for 10 months. Back in July I started it up and took it for a 15 mins the car started up fine. Recharged the battery and went to start it last week, only cranks but won’t start up. When I cranked, the tachometer didn’t move at all. Removed the plug, was cold and no smell of gas. After multiple attempts, I get a CEL: p0335 (crankshaft position fault). Car has 130k. Is it likely the crankshaft sensor because other members on the forum said a cam sensor failure triggers similar symptom. Thanks

I held the spark plug close to ground and had a friend crank, didn’t see any spark.

Have you had the battery tested?

A new Odyssey CP680 battery was put in prior to storing the car in the garage 10 months ago. When Park, the leads were taken off the terminals and a fresh charge prior to starting the car.

If crankshaft position sensor is bad, would I get a voltage signal when cranking? I was reading 8-9 volts when cranking at the fuel pump.

The answer, at least on a stock car, is no.

So the battery sat for 10 months, discharging. I'd have it tested, or try to jump the car. You don't recharge a car battery the way you recharge your laptop. They're not meant to discharge and stay discharged for long periods.
