Balance shaft delete rubbing?

Damn screw! Will replace it with an Allen head screw
Noticed it when I remove the oil pump casing. Has anyone ever seen this before? What could have caused this? Should I reuse it or replace?

oil pump looks good. Even inside the block where the bearing sits looks ok. I just need some assurance that this is ok or should I replace the Balance shaft delete?
thanks for your input!

Are you referring to the marks left on the front case inside the oil pump housing? I've seen that before in a few builds and decided that it's normal wear and tear.

Doesn't that damn philips head screw suck? I also had to use an impact screw driver to remove it haha.

No. I’m referring to the rub mark at the head tip of the actual shaft that goes inside the block that sits and spin in the bearing. I marked it in this picture.

It's just left over forging that didn't clean up from the turning operation.

Thanks for that info...looks like you're right! Peace of mind..

The question is do I just keep this or go with the stubby short balance shafts?
