Rebuilding 4G rod rattle

Hey just want to post here to check something.

Pulled a running 4G to put forged rods and pistons in. After checking and assembling one rod I noticed it had a rattle using assembly lube. I put the original rod in to check and that had a rattle to which made me think it was normal.
I took it to a machine shop to double check sizing and told them about the rattle, they said the 4G does that.. doesn’t seem like a good thing to me.

Seeing if anyone else has noticed this..

The way you’re checking it, it will not give you the right answer.
Grab a bore gage and micrometer and check the INside dia of rod, and Outside diameter
Of the crank and check if its in allowable specs.

Also, do this in all 4 rods for your peace of mind. Good luck!
