Question Electric exhaust cutout question.

Not sure if this is the right section or not but I have a question.
I'm getting my evo tuned on March 9th and was considering adding an electric cutout, however, I've already got straight 3" pipe from the turbo back except for 2 flow through resonators. It's got a resonator in place of the cat and resonator in place of the muffler.
Would I notice any gains with the cutout that would make it worth it?
Evo 8, 20g turbo, E85 at 30psi is kindof my boost target.

Any input?

My data in mustang dyno:

3” exhaust (close cut out) + High flow cat + resonator + muffler + E85 + BBK = 360WHP

3” exhaust (close cut out) + Test pipe + resonator + muffler + E85 + BBK = 385WHP

3” exhaust (open cut out) + Test pipe + resonator + muffler + E85 + BBK = 390WHP

Hope this help

Thanks much. For only 5whp it doesn't seem much like it's worth it.

its not. just for a sound, maybe.

I have a new set up since I built my engine.

3" exhaust + muffler + BBK or FP Black + E85 = Not yet

Hah it's loud enough as it is. Don't need it any louder.

You already have a pretty open exhaust so the cutout is not going to do anything for you. It's better intended to get the benefit of an open exhaust while still maintaining the lower noise.
For example; my setup has 3" downpipe and test pipe with a cutout at the muffler. Cutout closed and it sounds like a factory exhaust and can drive for hours with no problem. Cutout open and then it gets rowdy.
