Bad T case.

Hello fellow Evo enthusiests. I apologise pre emptively if I didn't use the search button good enough. I just started getting the infamous T case death whine on my 2003. I am finging it dam near impossible tracking down a used one to throw on. I also don't have a lift so I can't really remove mine to sent it into Shep. I was wondering If anybody knows where to find a non ACD T case for less than the 3 grand new price they seem to go for or If anybody can give me some advice on how to handle this situation in the cheapest possible manner I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys.

Keep an eye in the classifieds section for part outs and such. Also if you're on facebook, join some evo groups and keep an eye out for part outs. I'm in the same boat to get rid of my ACD one and go non-acd. Usually most are selling them stock for 800-1000 shipped. Built you'll see them 2000+. They go quick once one goes up for sale.

You don't need a lift to remove the tcase but it would make life easier lol. IMO, if you're going to spend the money on buying a used one you should just send in your current one for a rebuild at Shep or Jacks. A little peace of mind knowing the history of the current tcase.

My faulty T case was due to fluids Neglect. (Rookie mistake). Although launching your Evo is not great for for the T case either. So remember to constantly check your fluids folks!!
