Do I need to port my head and run cdi ignition for 900hp

People have made 900HP+ on a non CDI COP with healthy coils using iridium plugs gapped on the tighter side. I would probably get the CDI if budget allows.
I agree. Having oversized valves and porting helps engine make that power with less boost (which is actually a measurement of restriction). Higher boost makes turbo work harder, which is less efficient.
