Okay I just want some info, I’ll be using a 6466 pte with everything else, big fuel set up curt brown 70mm mani etc etc. My question is should I port my head for this? +1mm oversize valves on stock head or actually just get the head done and leave stock valves as heard these are great for spool etc, and also at that power what ignition is needed? A very good cop or a cdi box?

Who is installing your +1mm valves? Are they going to CNC your valve seats? Watch out for shops who only install +1mm valves and not machine the seats or hand port the seats. I have a spare head that has +1mm valves. The did not cut the valve seats, so valves stuck into combustion chamber. And yes, it has bent valves.

No one yet I just wanted to know if you think I should port my head at all and run cdi ignition?

As you expect, I've seen +1mm valves and blending of bowls and knife edge splitter gives up a little spool to get more up top (see photo for built 2.0L motor on FP Black). I believe porting will tradeoff more spool for more top end.

Can I see, if the seats are done as should? I have a 0 miles spare +1mm valve head too and got worried about this LOL

Notice how intake and exhaust ports overlap.

Post a photo of your valves to compare.

For 900 whp, you'll likely need a good port job. Make sure you choose someone who knows what they're doing.

This is how it should look (ignore the paint). Notice how +1mm valves are seated inside cut?

You can make 900HP without issue on std size gsc or supertech valves and a non ported cylinder head. I wouldn't risk running higher mileage used valves. Is the porting required? No. Will it help gain some extra power? Yes.

People have made 900HP+ on a non CDI COP with healthy coils using iridium plugs gapped on the tighter side. I would probably get the CDI if budget allows.
