Exedy twin clutch uneven wear issue.

Hey Evom. Anyone know why my disks are wearing unevenly? The disk closest to the cover is 3.83 and has lots of hot spots. The clutch disk closest to the flywheel is 3.91 and looks new as it should. Clutch has 8000KM. The clutch disk having the issue is also loose where the input shaft slides into.

pressure plate side hot spots. This is the clutch disk closest to the cover.

Intermediate plate with hot spots again clutch disk closest to cover.

Intermediate plate with minimal wear and clutch disk closest to flywheel

Flywheel with minor wear.

Have you deburred/polished the outside guide posts on the flywheel? It used to be an issue (not sure if it still is) with Exedy multiplate clutches that they'd get hung up on the posts and cause wear issues.

Agreed, I did a polishing job on the legs and the clutch is much smoother and quieter now.

Thanks for the suggestion guys I’ll make sure to do that before putting everything back together. I got a new disk and the intermediate plate and pressure plate.
