urgent oil press gauge install question

hi fellas.

was up last night late installing a full complement of gauges.... got everything installed with the exception of the oil pressure gauge -- i don't have the right sized adapter to screw it into the oil filter housing. i removed one of the hex pipe plugs (one of two) in the filter housing, and boy o boy was that tough to get out! problem is, i don't know what size adapter to go try to buy? i know its not 1/8"npt, i am pretty sure its not 1/4" npt; so what size do i get? the male end needs to screw into the filter housing, and i need a female end that is 1/8" npt so i can connect the gauge.

thanx in advance!

I used a 3/8 NPT to 1/8 "bushing" from Ace Hardware in the pipe fitting section. Worked perfect because it didn't stick out too much. Don't forget to use teflon tape.

I recall an old thread on this topic exactly. Might be worth a search.

You might want to check out this thread. The Evo is BSPT, not NPT.

Thread a NPT fitting in there and you will mess up the threads. So if you use the NPT fitting make sure you use a sealer on the threads as it won't be the taper sealing the interface.
