Thick wall pins are a must use with big power otherwise you’ll get premature bushing wear on the rod bushing.
Next step is to file you ring end gaps. A ring filer is pretty cheap I got mine from summit.
The piston manufacturer will have suggestions on how much according to power levels and bore size. I was on the high side with mine because of the filled block. More heat means more clearance.
You put the ring in the corresponding bore push it down with the piston to square it up and use a feeler gauge to measure the end gap. After you do a couple rings they go quick. Make sure you use a jeweler file to debur the ends of the ring when finished filing.
Next we need to orient the rings on the piston, again CP carillo has this on their site. Basically no gaps line up. Roll the rings on don’t try and spread them to get them on all at once. Oh yea I usually already have the pistons on the rods by this point.
Once you have all the rings on the pistons you need to lube the cylinder walls, oil or assembly lube are fine.
Next your gonna need a ring compressor, I have the standard spring steel old school that fits all different sizes of pistons. They work and are cheap. Now before you go tossing the slugs in make sure the rod bearings are installed in the shells with lube, and the valve reliefs are correctly oriented.
Setting the ring end gap as such that they shouldnt line up or there is a rule to follow ? Wiseco's Manual shows an angle at which they should be part illustrated by a diagram.

What coil packs are those?!
And how are you going to plumb the external WGA?

This evo 8 engine is looking great! Is there a reason you tightened the timing belt with the timing belt tensioner holes up? I don't think it really matters but tightening with holes on bottom will give you a little more space between your timing belt and that 90° water fitting. What electric water pump are you going to use?
