Garret Gt3076R -- Anyone have one?

Hey everyone,

So I've been looking at turbos and recently fell in love with Garret Gt3076R, cause it sounds amazing and makes some nice power. I was curious if anyone had one and whether or not the like it? Also was curious if it would just bolt up to a stock style manifold? Thanks

My friend has a low mileage ATP 3076R kit he'd probably sell. It does make good power. ATP kits bolt up to a stock exhaust manifold. Not all 3076R's do that though.

You were considering keeping your green or stepping up to a red for 500whp in your other post. I can tell you right now you probably wont be happy with a gt3076r. Very old and inefficient compared to fp turbos and gtx garrett turbos of the last 10 years, and I've only heard negative things about ATP stock frame being laggy. The gt3076r actually flows slightly less than a green too. I still say figure out why your set up is under performing in the first place and get s2 cams for your green or go fp red at the most.

Ah gotcha. Would you lean more towards an fp red or fp black?

fp black should not even be on your mind unless you're planning for 600whp + and a built engine. fp red > black for 500whp

Transient response with a journal bearing turbo sucks. Especially one as big as a Black. Not much fun to drive, especially when running AC.

like someone else said jump up to the S2 cams instead of s1s and go mhi red if your getting bored of your old school green. If your stock block I don't think you'll get everything a black has to offer..
