Evo 9 leak/compression bad

So

these are the results of my tests. Now I was wondering what you guys would suggest, I was thinkin of when I go on deployment next year just take the engine out send it to a shop and rebuild it but that’s not anytime soon. I’ve had people also suggest to buy a stock engine but I have no idea where to start to find a decent stock engine that’s not busted up so any helpful thoughts would be helpful thank you !!!

It all depends on your budget. If you have the money to build, that's what I would do. If not, then you can get a brand new stock block from dealer, and have a shop refresh your head and put back together with new timing components & water pump for about $4k plus your mechanic labor charges. Also, have your injectors cleaned while engine is out.

If you can trust the engine is good and know how to fix if bad, then you can risk it and save $600-$1000. But I'd rather buy from dealer and know that short block is good with zero miles

If they can verify mileage. These engines are pretty hard to kill, so chances are it would be okay. Saving $1,400 would be pretty danged nice.
Also: Are they saying you have 0% leakdown on the other cylinders? That would be impressive. And the first row of numbers is compression? I'm trying to make sense of the readings.

yes 0% on 1,3,4 and 60% on 2. I DO want to avoid buying a brand new engine for $5000 because in the end I’m going to wanna build it up so I will probably call up the company “jdmenginecorp” and verify the health and etc

I've been told that you won't find a new long block. But they still have new short blocks.

Unless your head is toast, a shortblock is only $3300 shipped from STM.

Also trying to make sense of these numbers. The best prepared engine on earth will leak down around 6%.

That's what I was thinking. I think I'd go to a different shop and get a second opinion.
