High HP on Higher Mileage stock block

Hey everyone,

So im planning on upgrading to a bigger turbo, fp red or black (from a fp green) and was wondering is it safe to do so. My car is an 05 MR and currently running 424whp and 389wtq @29 psi on e85 and the block has 126k miles on it. My goal is 450-500whp. Ive seen people people run fp black on stock block and turn out fine. I know the limit is 400wtq before things get dangerous, so would i be able to make that much hp and keep the torque down low? Just curious, cause id rather not blow a whole in my block as this is my DD. Thanks!

06 MR here, 450+ HP and 390- 410 torque for over a year now with no issues.

Just recently bumped it up to 500ish whp and 440ish ft-lbs, although I only have around 100 miles with that much power on it.

Stock block and drivetrain with 182k.

BTW this was an HTA71 on E85 kill mode. You should be able to hit those numbers on the green and cams with E85 no problem.

Should be safe with a black. You want to delay the torque and keep it as low as possible. The 03 in my signature was on a bone stock block with PTE 6262 and 280 cams @ 40psi.

The "limit" is 400wtq. But nothing lasts forever. My car went ~3yrs (32k miles) at that power level with 10 tracks days before sending a rod out at 60k miles. Everything has a service life. Since the car is your daily, I don't think pushing the limit on the motor is the best idea. However, that green should have more in it if its 73hta or htz. Had one here in Vegas that made 460whp very easily on E85 before running out of fuel pump. I think made 29psi doen low, and held 25 or 26psi out the top. This was with Kelford 272 cams and the various other supporting mods.

I see playing with fire is your thing, you better start buying parts for a bottom end build because on any given Sunday that bottom end will be
toast.
