Compression numbers before tune

Hey what’s up everyone, just bought a 2006 evo 9 with roughly 93,000 miles on the clock. Bought it of a random guy on craiglist without knowing the compression numbers. Did it last week and the numbers were 110 125 120 120. The car is in need of a tune. Contacted RRE a couple days ago and was told the numbers were low. The car has Cams, ID2000, double pumper, speed density, full exhaust, stock 9turbo, e85, ported intake/exhaust mani and a surge tank. Do I really need to save up for a rebuild ?

Hey, alright on the purchase. Yeah, those no.s seem very low. But not quite sure the norm on a 90K engine?

Maybe a leak down should be done to really confirm the health status

In any event, welcome aboard & hope to see you active on our boards

Edit. Heres a clip from the SM. Is 92psi the lower limit?

Try adding a cap of oil in the 110 cylinder and see if it goes up. I'm assuming those numbers were done with hot engine and WOT when cranking.

Sell those 2000's for $700, buy some 1000's for $300-$400. And bam, money for single map tune..
