Wiseco 1400HD v CP Pistons?
There's a few threads around on this subject but no real outcomes, seeing they are both made out of 2618 Alloy and CP pistons are cheaper and also I want to go with carrillo pro H rods and that carrillo make the CP pistons, my question is would I be better off going with CP pistons for are a better fit with the carrillo rods? I still think Wiseco are the best on the market and never seen a post with them failing. ok I don't want anything over 400hp but if its coming apart I want the best in it and hopefully it will last longer.

Talk to your engine builder.
I have CP in three normally aspirated cars and am very happy with them. Previously had Arias and JE. But ultimately it depends on the specific design and application.
With 400 hp probably does not matter much.

If you're only trying to make 400whp, you should just get a new OEM Mitsubishi short block. Save time, money, and headache. Do a balance shaft delete and send it.
If you insist on building it, you're wasting money on Carillo's. Eagle Hbea,s are all you need for <550wtq/600whp/9k rpm. And pretty much any piston will do.
2618 vs 4032 is more about expansion than oil consumption. 4032 is harder, so it doesn't wear cylinder walls less. The piston itself wears less and last longer, And the ability to run tighter PTW helps with blow by and oil consumption in a street engine where the piston isn't always being pushed hard. Mahle makes 4032 pistons.
