EGR removal question

My tuner removed my EGR system and looped the 2 vacuum ports in the throttle body. I just came across the EGR removal thread and decided to read it and that stated that you shouldn't just put the vacuum hose and loop the ports since one port is pre butterfly and the other one is post butterfly. I am on speed density if it makes a difference but could this be the source of my idle being higher than intended since its air getting around the butterfly?

Also am I able to use the EVAP port for my Boost gauge readings? I don't want to tap into the bov since I have a tial and don't want to tap into the FPR
