Holla guys,

I have a GT3582R and i would like to upgrade the compressor wheel to a bigger size. I believe the stock size is 61mm. If i were to upgrade i to a larger size say 69mm, would there be an issue?

 

The compressor cover needs to be machined to fit the larger wheel. The turbine is the same on the all the 35r's so you could order the billet GTX3582r compressor wheel and if the dimensions are different the compressor cover from Garrett as well and just bolt it together.

 

I have a place which can install the wheel and machine the compressor housing to match the wheel. I would like to know if it is allright to fit in a bigger compressor by 5-7mm from the stock 61mm. If anyone has done it, please share how was the improvement like from these mods.

 

Well, Garret put a 5mm larger wheel on it for the gen2 GTX3582r and it works great, soooo....

 

good lord, ahaha, i totally didn't know it was 5mm larger until you mentioned, so i checked on their website and yeah it's 66mm DDDD
