Strange tick/chirp noise from engine

Hey guys,
first time evo owner, recently purchased a evo 6 with 80,000kms, mint condition, got it from a dealer as a fresh jap import (I’m from New Zealand)
anyways..
this morning I was taking the car to get an alarm fitted.
When I got to the alarm place, I noticed my car making a tick sound coming from the belt side of the engine
I have a 3 year mechanical warranty with the car, but I just want to know is it maybe some water got onto the belt? Or is it something else,
i have attached a link to the video of the sound.

anyone can let me know what it can be?
Me and my brother went halves on the car and we spent all our $$ on it,
its our weekend car and this just ruined our day, we have had the car for like 4 days..

Hello / Welcome aboard (listened to your Vid)

Certainly could be a no. of issues. Do you have the maintenance records? Do you know if the 96K service was done?

Possible timing belt tensioner belt pulley making noise? You can easily pull the top cover the timing belt & give the belt a visual (looking for any fraying, cracks. etc)

Im not the best engine guy but just a few thoughts for you

Cheers,

thanks for the reply mate,
the car has only done 81k and from what I know the cam belt was changed, but I will be taking it back to the dealership I bought it from m, because i have had the car for like 4 days and in New Zealand it’s still covered under the consumer guarantees act,
fingers crossed I get the car back soon lol. Such a bliss to drive
