Transfer Case Outer Shaft Scratch?

Tried lowering the engine in the car about a couple weeks ago and decided to wait for the head to be ported.

saw this just now and wondering if it will be fine before I install the motor

Scratches like that are fairly common. If it is recessed you don't have to do anything and you will be fine. If it is raised, I would carefully file it down smooth with either a dremel sanding bit or a file so that it is flush with the rest of the shaft. I don't believe that surface would score a seal and cause it to leak.
