Is there a market for my engine?

I have a Buschur build 2.0 alum rod hardblocked motor fresh build no passes yet only dyno tuning. Makes 920ish wheel on 40psi. I’m thinking about going back to wet block and I’m wondering if there is a market for this engine complete or if I should tear it down and use the parts for a new motor.

Sure, Although the engine is very specific & limited in how it can be used, there is a buyer out there

I would think selling it complete would be your best route to start. Especially because its a fresh, running build

A used race engine is about worthless. If you can handle it, moving all of your parts over to a wet block and re-ringing with net you less expense.

Why do you want to go back to a wet block?

Mainly because I’d like to drive the car on the street and I worry about heat. It’s a trailer queen currently. I’ve seen lots of guys posting about driving hardblock cars on the street with no issues including emery? from stm who built and tuned the car but I still have my doubts.

You need a big oil cooler, an oil temp gauge, and a real water temp gauge. Only way to know if it'll do it is to try. I know guys do it in the Midwest, but it doesn't necessarily get as hot there as it does here.

I would keep it as the race block for when it's time to kick someone's *** and then build a budget 4g64 2.2LR as the daily block.

Cant argue w/that. Similar to selling a built race car. Its more valuable in parts vs whole
