Hey guys, my Evo 9 ACD transfercase was whining so I got it out of the car and openned it, the ring and pinion was toasted. So I bought a new set of ring and pinion with the 2 bearings and a seal kit.

Is there any tutorial that shows how to replace the 2 pinion bearings and how to reinstall everything properly?

 

I've been told that what makes a rebuilt case better than a factory unit is the shimming process. Query the shops doing these. Maybe one will divulge their secrets.

 

Send those parts off to TRE and have it done right the first time.
