Evo 9 Drivetrain Problem

Hello I’ve been dealing with this issue for about a year now. The problem started when I took my evo 9 to my dumbass brother in law shop that don’t know wtf they are doing so I took it there to give them a try and to change my clutch after getting the car back I noticed small overnight leaks coming from the transmission/tcase area I took the car back and was told that’s just what was spilled when changing the transmission fluid so I thought everything was good I drove the car for about three months when I started hearing this weird noise coming from under the car like a rattling noise and metal on metal the next day I heard a loud bang from under the car and all wheel locked up I had the car towed back to the shop and they managed to get the car to release all the wheels and drive but to this day I’m hearing a metal on metal noise and a metal rattling noise it’s louder when I’m gear and lower in neutral I’m thinking it’s my t case but just want to make sure before buying another t case

You should probably take it to a competent shop to be looked over before dropping $$$$

Stop the presses!!!!

Yeah, sounds like a significant failure. I would do an oil drain of all the fluids (engine, trans, TC) & do a magnet check for debris

BTW, Welcome aboard the boards @BelmirEVOCT

You say it leaks. Are you keeping the fluids topped up?
