Hey. I'm considering swapping engine from evo 8 to my evo 6. What I've read and understood is that I must take following from 6 engine to 8 engine:
- Intake manifold
- Thermostat housing
- Evo 6 ecu will work fine I assume
What else? Read somewhere that the waterpump is different in 8 than it is in evo 5-7. What is the difference? Solution to that?

Oil filter housing is different also. Just get long block from evo 8 and swap everything from 6. I did swap from 6 to 8 and its pretty much straight forward. Intake manifold is different, oil filter housing, and some rubber houses cant remember now.
