Anyone know what this could be? As soon as i turn the car on (neutral or in gear) this is coming from the tranny. Sounds like a loud rattle. Flywheel broken or loose? Car still moves. Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm late on the response, sorry. I removed my own "sounds like a can of gravel being shaken" noise from my transmission this weekend, and it turned out to be cracked Fidanza aluminum flywheel. And a **** throwout bearing, which is what I went in there expecting to find; the flywheel was a total surprise.
