Looking towards the future. Turbo upgrade (RED) questions

So I currently have an FP71HTA on my 9. I like it but I need just a bit more power (would like it to be closer to 450/500 ish on e85).

I really like the FP Red in terms or power and price, but have some questions. I see they offer the red with the SS housing now, but that would mean getting an external wastegate and a downward facing dump tube.

Seems like a lot of money to spend (turbo, wastegates , new manifold, etc) especially considering my current o2 dump works fine and is out the hood which I love.
If only making 500ish, would the MHI be the better choice?

I do plan to upgrade the injectors at some point (1650) but with the 1120cc and the single Wally I currently have, would it be a waste?

Just looking for input from anyone who might have run a similar setup. Thanks!

mods:
71hta with 18psi wga
Tial BOV
GSC S2
Single 255
Fully built head
FIC1120cc
Jmfab o2 hood dump
Speed density, 93 and e85
3.5 ETS intercooler
STM SD 3.5 intake

I would go with MHI for spool and upgrade to 1650cc injectors and 450/525 wally pump.
I built an 55.5mm compressor wheel (about 1mm bigger than FP Red's 54.8mm) with a 9 blade 54mm that actual fits your goal really well. Do a search to see results.

The red combo works well . If you only wanted to make 480whp or so on E85, The ID1300 will drive really well. If you want to make more then the ID1700 works for 500-650whp+. A rewired 450/274 pump with low/high voltage would fit your goals nicely.
