Alternative Hydraulic Lifter from Hyundai/KIA

Mitsubishi Part Number - MD377054
Hyundai Part Number - 2461033050

Both of these manufacturers use 4G63/4G64 engines.
The Hyundai part number has come up as an alternative: https://partsouq.com/en/search/all?q=MD377054
Has anyone used these before?

Yeah and they are genuine part, rather than aftermarket.
I wonder if the Hyundai/Kia cars have death ticks also lol

I bet these would fit in both the Evo 8 and 9 cylinder heads. The Kia/Hyundai G4JS Cylinder Head for 4g63/64 swaps can use the evo 8/9 lifters so I wouldn't be surprised if they work.

That's cool. If I ever need replacements I'll consider these.

I believe all dirty oil is the same, synthetic or not, and change it every 3000 miles without exception. Also, I always run an oversized oil filter, not the tiny one the maker specifies. After 18 years of driving, no lifter tick.

Another thing I do is constantly switching oil brands. Years ago I had a DSM and ran Mobil conventional oil in it. Even though I changed oil every 3000 miles that oil made a filthy mess in my engine. I had to change the lifters. Then one day I noticed they were advertising on their oil container, "New and improved with more detergent". Yeah, any would be more. So, I figured if some oil company is slacking on their engine oil product, by switching, it is in there for only 3000 miles.

A couple of weeks ago I bought my wife a new Accord. Anyway, I look forward to seeing what the built in oil monitor reads when that oil gets changed at 3000 miles.

Did anyone used those kia/hyundai lifters on evo? I tried gsc zero thick before and they are hit or miss, some of them coming bad from factory. I tried topline lifters and look like they are 2mm longer than oem.

They are super cheap compared to the Evo lifter. Also I pulled a set from the junkyard and they charged me $18 for 16.

Yes they are super cheap and I did measured mitsu and hyundai lifters and they are exactly the same. Did you used them on your evo? I am building cyl head and I ordered gsc zero thick and one lifter out of the brand new box was bad so automatically I lost interest of using them so I ordered topline and they are longer than stock so I think I will use hyundai lifters.

Curious why? I switched to the revised topline lifters, no more lifter tick: https://www.extremepsi.com/store/Top...d-IX-SALE.html

Both topline and GSC have revised their lifters. For GSC they arrived soft, but you still bleed them before install. They satisfy compressed height requirements

OEM LIFTER:

GSC "Zero Tick" LIFTER

I did used gsc zero thick lifters before and one of them was bad out of the box, good that I notice it. I did ordered topline lifters now for new build and I hope they will be ok. I noticed that topline are slightly longer but when I bleed them and compressed fully they are same length as oem so should be fine. How long are you using topline lifters?

Price arbitrage for the same item.
A lot of people like OEM for their quality and reliability.

As of right now, i'm running the GSC zero tick lifters with no issues. Sorry to hear that one of yours was bad out of the box. I replaced them as a cautionary measure since a few of my OEM lifters were getting a bit loud.
