Is that filter big enough to maximize airflow potential?

I got the air box from Lancershop. Options Auto Salon www.optauto.com carries them as well. From what I've seen, Options Auto Salon sells the A'PEXi intake the cheapest.

Induction Box: $140
Power Intake: $120

I was just wondering... does the Apexi filter throw off the MAF readings? It seems like most aftermarket intakes do, but what about the Apexi?

My idle was unsteady for about 10 days, then the ECU corrected itself.

I've heard that this particular intake isn't CARB certified, does anybody know if that's true? Also, would you say its worth picking this up even if you don't have an a/f tuner or ecu flash?

just a filter.

Mine is in the mail...along with the box. I will post impressions later. The Apexi Power FC has a setting soley for this intake if you are running that standalone btw.

i think with this intake you need to remove the IC sprayer to help bring in air to the intake... does the j-spec evo have the IC sprayer?...

When you say dry filters, what exactly do you mean, no oil?

Yes, that is correct. This filter is to be used without oil (and it does an amazing job!).

Has anyone tried to cut out a portion of the intake box to make the ram air scoop still functional? Will/has this filter gotten a C.A.R.B. approval? and will it fit an AEM or K&N intake set up?
