2.3 or 2.2 build with stock ECU/OEM tune

Does anyone know if you can run a stroker engine (2.3 or 2.2) with the stock ECU on OEM tune without throwing any codes. Im looking to build my engine, but if i cant pass smog in CA where they now know if your ECU has been flashed then i might just do a 2.0 build.

I would expect it to run poorly, if it's not outright dangerous. You're adding 15% more air flow with a stroker with every RPM - you need 15% more fuel, which the ECU will try to compensate with LTFT, and I presume you'd run out of room there, where a code would be thrown. At WOT, where it's based on a pre-set fuel map and not based on oxygen sensor feedback, you'd likely blow the motor from going too lean.

The car would not be happy I do now that. As posted above you have way more air flow/rpm so I am sure you would have to rescale stuff to get it to work right.
