I have 05 MR and during a drive today I noticed if I coast in 1st and 2nd, I can’t put it into neutral until it slows down a lot. Feels like the shifter is stuck when I try to move it. Also when I push in the clutch the RPM doesn’t drop, it keeps coasting im gear until I slow down more. Other than that, the car drives completely fine. Stock 6 speed with a stage 5 Exedy twin disc and ACT monoloc. I can downshift no problem, shift up no problem.

 

if you push in the clutch and the rpm doesnt drop...then the clutch cant be disengaging all the way...

 

That’s what I was thinking but when I slow down, the RPM eventually has the sudden drop to idle. Every other gear works fine, 1st and 2nd work fine if I don’t cruise for a couple seconds before pushing in the clutch pedal.

 

your clutch is probably dragging.

jack it up.(or get it on a lift) ... all 4 off ground.

with the car off, put in gear, have someone push and hold the clutch and see if you can rotate the wheels.

if you cant turn it... then do a search on clutch adjustment.
