In gear when neutral

I have a 2006 evolution 9 mr with a 5 speed swap it has a exedy twin disk. When the car is in neutral I let go of the clutch and it stalls out like as if it's in gear. When I go to reverse the car moves but only about 2ft then gets stuck like it hit a log in the road.. Anyone have any ideas what can be the issue?

when the motor is not running does it seem like it shifts through the gears ok?

i would check your shift linkage and make sure everything is correct.

It rolls this is only happens when I'm at a stop it's weird I'm not sure if this is a linkage issue or clutch issue or possibly transmission

yes the car will roll when you push in the clutch. But when the car is off and it's in neutral the car won't roll if you don't press the clutch in.
