Exedy HD tiwn plate clutch problem with reverse gear (help please)

i have a evo gsr ix it have 6 speed the problem is that after i got it installed yesterday it was really hard to put it in reverse i tried to put it in 2nd gear and then reverse still when u put it it goes in but not smooth feels like its gonna break and when it goes in and u reverse the gear get stuck on reverse and u cant shift into another gear unless u turn off the car and change it and i can deal with chatter and everything else but this is transmission so i am worried i have 670 kms on it so far yet i didnt even let the turbo spool i shift at 2500-3000 so is this a big deal or is it normal when u get a heavy duty clutch

This can be a common problem regardless of the clutch...

try slowly letting the clutch pedal out, as you are pushing the lever into reverse... it should just drop in...

the hydraulic piston that disengages the clutch pivoted on the bolt that holds it down for some reason so it extended at an ange rather than straight on... adjusted it so it pushes linear like its supposed to be, problem solved smooth shifting....

one look and you will get what i mean find the top of the gearbox to the right is the piston, if its parallel to the bumper good if not re adjust it...

my 0.02 cents

Just had my clutch installed a little over a week ago and I'm having this problem as well. I have adjusted the clutch pedal and its a little better, but still rough to get into 1st and reverse is really tough.

When I'm already moving it shifts really nicely, but from a stop its a challenge.
