Hello all, I'm hoping someone here could help me out on this; I'm currently gathering parts for an AWD conversion on my 4G Eclipse, and need to figure out which generation of Evo drivetrain parts I can use that'll work together. I'm currently looking to pick up an Evo 4 Trans, which to my knowledge so far, is the same one used with minor differences to the later generations - minus the ACD. Now, I also can get the tcase alongside it, but no differentials. Will throwing Evo 7-8-9 front and rear diff work alongside an Evo 4 Trans and tcase? Or would I need an Evo 7-8-9 t-case and differentials? I'm unsure as to whether or not the differential gearing has to match the trans/tcase or if it's just the trans and tcase that need matched so long as the front and rear diff remain the same. Thanks for any help!

 

front diff is in the tcase, so you can use that and just get a later evo rear diff
