590whp 576 wtq here on the stock block. Still holding strong . I daily drive on 559whp 520wtq. So far the car has gone 10.3@132.7mph with the clutch slipping through 4th gear. That was on a 560whp 547wtq tune.

Im about to buy a IX and it has 495whp and i was kinda worried since the internals are stock but you guys seem to be running this big power safely so i guess i can relax.

This is what will happen if a stock rod lets go in your block. This car made a little over 500whp but the customer liked to do highway pulls . So how long your stock internals will last also has a lot to do with how you drive the car. This car only had 20,000 miles on it .

I think STM prolly holds the stock block record.

I don't think they know the exact HP it was at. but it was trapping really high on the 1/4 mile. I think 140+ MPH

but for reliability I prolly wouldnt take a stock block over 530 or so. Dynojet HP

I know this is like beating a dead horse to a pulp since time has gone by I would like to see the ones that posted and longivity of the high HP/TQ on a stock block successfull then are you sucessfull now.

From experience this is what I've seen: Not the rods or pistons giving out because of the HP/TQ but the famous missfire, then you are through! Of coarse do you beat on it to where your rich fuel makes your oil look like mississippi mud and causing heat build up for engine failure.... we all know it comes down the longer living enginers due to the maintenance ****'s changing oil evertime they past a lube and stop. Last by not least a good tuner that understands your car and how you drive so he can boost accordingly..... But with all that said how are the stocker holding up???

Well you won't have to worry about you engine dieing on old age if you plan on running 450+whp on stock internals.
