Freeze Plug Heater Location

What's up everyone, need some insight as to where is the best/recommended location for a Freeze plug style heater. I pulled the plug front left plug nearest to the power steering pump but immediately hit the cylinder wall. Any ideas ? Trying to install this before I install my manifolds etc so it's definitely holding me up right now lol

I'm in interior Alaska if anyone was curious why I needed it, sub -20 to -40 are common.

Unfortunately all of the core plugs are pretty close to a cylinder wall. The threaded 3/8" BSPT plug on the intake manifold side nearest the trans might be your best bet, but You'll likely still need to bend the heater element..
