Straight cut 3rd and 4th who wants them?

I've been toying with the idea to have a machinist make me a straight cut 3rd and 4th and then have liberty faceplate them. The shop would make me a single set but of course they would like to make a batch of them. Would anyone be interested in a set?

All the other companies that have made them in the past have no availability or a lead time on them. So I though I would make my own.
I dont daily my evo but weekend warrior it and only roll race so my perfect trans set up would be syhcro 1,2,5,r and faceplated.
just thought I would see if anyone else is interested. the more sets I have made the better pricing we can get. Also not going to have them cut synchro rings these would be faceplated gears only.

Any thoughts and input welcome.

To be honest with you I'm not to sure yet? The machinist specializes in makeing gears so I'm sure he will have his input. and I'm still waiting on some OE gears to show up to give to him and then he will engineer/design them. Do you know that RS and English were making them out of?

Gotcha, Didn't realize it was an actual gear manufacture producing the gear. No clue to what RS/ER is using but PAR is using EN36C.

Ok, thanks for that. Is there really not any interest in anyone having straight cut gears? I know this is how I want to set up my trans. I may just have him make me one set for myself, test them and document everything and then maybe people might want them?
or am I just out of my mind and should just have oem gears faceplated and be done with it?
I always thought the +700hp range was reaching the limit of the stock gears? I would rather build a trans to not brake. Than brake it all and then build.

We used to do it. But it gets to the point now with the scarcity and price of other OEM parts you need for a proper rebuild that I have clients just opting to go to a full 1-4 dog engagement straight cut gear set and just keep the factory 5th gear.
