Biss screw o-ring size
Biss screw o-ring size
Posting this in case anyone finds it useful in the future, as I could not find much when I searched.
The o-ring on my Biss screw/Idle adjustment screw was leaking. I replaced it with an o-ring I got in a kit from Advanced Auto Parts which seemed like the correct size, it was hard to tell as the one I pulled out of my TB was as hard as a rock and shrunk down. The size of that Advanced Auto o-ring was 1/4" ID x 3/8" OD x 1/16 W.
After replacement, it was still leaking. I was able to get a new o-ring from Mitsubishi which was around $8-9. After examining them side by side, the OEM o-ring is slightly thicker. Unfortunately, they were not able to tell me the size and it is not stated on the package either.
TLDR - A 1/4" ID x 3/8" OD x 1/16 W o-ring will still leak. If you are able to find one with the same inner and outer diameter but slightly thicker, it may work.
