Issues with ACD/Transfer case
Issues with ACD/Transfer case
Hi all,
Been having some issues with my car lately, not sure about the causes....EVO 9 with about 45K miles on it...
A while back while removing the front bumper, broke the connections to ACD pump and was easier to replace with another one that fixing the connections at the time. Did not bleed the system but left the connectors loose (not connected)...was told it would act like an open diff and would pose no issues (plan was to bleed the system eventually since the car is mostly parked any month of the year) until I was forced to drive the car for a about a month after since my truck was in the garage.
Now, since then, the car developed a vibrating/rattling noise upon start up around the drive train area (will go away when at normal operating temps, so far)...thought it might be the twin plate letting go...
Another clunking noise can be heard as well in the rear when pressing the brake upon deceleration, thought it was the pads for some reason, does not seem to be that either, all bushings seem fine and no rubbing is noticed.
Now, when looking for the vibrating source and the clunking noise (having the car on jack stands and running through the gears, noticed only the front wheels spinning while the rears remained static....is this common? Even thought I had a broken axle, which could have explained the clunking noise and static wheels in the rear.
Been so long since I messed with the car and been on the forums, not sure what I know or don't know anymore. I don't have that much additional assistance where the car and I are located so I would appreciate all the information and guidance I can get form the forum.

so if the ACD is connected then just bleed it. press on the gas pedal when you turn the key to ON to make the ACD pump pressurize the lines. then you can bleed from the bottom of the TC. 2-3 times should be good
