Rebuild List 4g63
Making this to hopefully get a build list of parts needed for new/future rebuilders. I plan on coming back to this thread once I gather all information and making a proper build list of even little things required. Or if there is already one, point me in that direction.
Long story short my Evo 8 got dreaded crankwalk. There is a lot done to the top end so I plan on buying a short block and rebuilding my bottom end throwing the refinished head on and calling it a day. This is my first Evo and first engine 4g63 rebuild. With my knowledge (as of this post) I plan on getting new oil pump, water pump, rear main seal and a master gasket kit. As the block I'm buying does not come with them and or I want to replace them because I'm already right there. I'm hoping I can transfer most of my pulleys and timing stuff.(other than oil pump and water pump)

Questions to those who are much more experienced
1. What can I transfer from my current long block to save where I can?
2. What are best practices when doing timing?
3. What does a complete part list look like for the bottom end.
4. Balance shaft or no Balance shaft delete?
5. Can I reuse Dowels pins?

Wiseco pistons
wrist pins
bearings
Oem or AF crankshaft

Do I know what I am doing, not completely, but I'm mechanically inclined so willing to enjoy the build process once I figure everything I need.

First off; Throw away the oil cooler and lines. Do NOT use it!. Disassemble the OFH and clean it thoroughly.
